While living in Seattle Dustin was a part of a small Microsoft team that designed and developed Microsoft’s first Social Media Device, the Microsoft KIN. Dustin was one of only a few people on the team that created the interface, helped with some of the interactions on the device and also helped with the user experience. The design philosophy was actually carried over into Windows Phone and eventually, it was rolled into the Windows Operating System. The code-name for the project was "Project Pink". The Microsoft division that was responsible for the production of the KIN was the Pioneer Studios group, a part of the Microsoft Premium Mobile Experiences Team (PMX) and Microsoft Mobile team. Due to a non-disclosure agreement we are unable to show any of the concept work, but we can talk about it.
